Fall/ Winter ‘27 Coldest Weather Run

The new season of women’s cold-weather apparel was an exploration of high-functioning details within the design language established by the successful capsule launched in Winter ’26. The team decided to continue producing the Polartec® Hi-Loft™ styles from the previous winter season, while expanding the offering through a special edition of the lululemon classic Ready to Rulu franchise and introducing Octa Fleece™ as a new material innovation to the line.

Beyond the material focus, the seasonal direction relied heavily on redesigning classic features found in lululemon performance apparel to produce the most on-brand clothing, with functions that take the runner an extra mile.

Products will drop in store and online at lululemon.com starting October 2027.

Details Defining the Design

The iconic design language has long relied on invisible details and small-but-mighty features that differentiate the brand from its competitors. It felt like it had been over a decade since these details had been updated: thumbholes felt outdated, pocketing had become standard, and details were no longer pushing the apparel forward.

This season was about focusing on the micro. Thumbholes had to disappear when not in use, watch slits would return to the line, and a winter solve was on the horizon: how to keep the runner’s face and head warm during windy, chilly months.
